University of Nairobi has issued a notice indicating that it has disbanded its Centre for Self-sponsored programmes (CESSP). We have attached the full notice and summarized what it means.

UON Centre for Self-sponsored programme

University of Nairobi Centre for Self-sponsored programme (CESSP) was established to help in the running and management of self-sponsored department. The mandate of the center included but was not limited to:

  • Promoting of UON’S self-sponsored programmes
  • Maintaining statistics of self-sponsored students in UON
  • Maintaining SSP academic programme in liaison with the academic unit
  • Review, recommendation and collection of fees for SSP

What does suspension of Self Sponsored Programmes unit?

The suspension of the Centre for Self Sponsored Programmes in UON will not in any way as it is being alluded affect academic programmes of current and prospective students.

It is only the center that was disbanded and all its activities will be moved to the academic department.
