Below is a list of recognized engineering degree courses, programmes by the Engineering Board of Kenya (EBK) offered in Kenyan Universities and colleges (Last updated 18th March 2017)
How does Engineering Board of Kenya (EBK) do accreditation of engineering degree programmes
Before approving any engineering course offered in any learning institution in Kenya, the Engineering Board of Kenya (EBK) assesses the capacity of the University to run the programme based on the following requirements;
- Programme Design- the board assess whether engineering course being offered in a particular university maintains appropriate balance of theoretical, practical and experiential knowledge and skills.
- Curriculum Design
- Faculty staff establishment
- Training Facilities and Infrastructure
- Duration of training-minimum of fives years in training
NOTE1: If you are doing any engineering course that is not among the one listed below then be aware that EBK does not recognize the awards from unaccredited programmes as sufficient for practice of engineering in Kenya. Which means that you will graduate and get your certificate but you will not be given certificate of practicing by EBK. This will make it very difficult for you to get a good engineering job.
NOTE2: Any engineering degree course not listed below is considered fake by Engineers Board of Kenya, so we don’t have to list fake ones again.
