How to Buy KPLC Tokens using Equity Mobile app

Equity Bank customers can now buy KPLC tokens using Equity mobile app for prepaid and postpaid. All you need is your Kenya Power meter, Equity Bank Mobile App, and money in your bank account.

How to buy KPLC tokens via Equity Mobile App

To buy tokens through the equity bank app, follow the steps below ;

• Log in to your Equity Mobile app
• Select the Transact option at the bottom of the app.
• Click on the Paybill option
• Select Biller, then under popular billers select KPLC prepaid
• Enter your KPLC Meter Number
• Enter the Amount of tokens you wish to purchase. For example Ksh.100, 200, 500, 1000, etc.
• Enter your Equity Mobile App pin

After successfully completing all the steps above, you will receive an SMS message containing KPLC token numbers and units.

If you prefer buying tokens using an Equitel line, you can do so by going to the “My Money” menu in Equitel, then select “Paybill.” Enter the business number as 888880 (for prepaid), followed by your KPLC meter number and the desired amount of tokens you want to purchase. Lastly, enter your pin number to confirm the transaction.

If you do not have an Equitel Line or SmartPhone to install the banking app, then you can also get tokens by dialing Equity USSD shortcode *247#.
