NTSA recently announced that they have introduced new reflective number plates. Now, you can easily get these plates by applying through eCitizen portal using the procedure below.

Steps for Applying for NTSA New Number Plates on eCitizen

  • Log in to your E-Citizen account.
  • Choose NTSA service portal (New).
  • Pick motor vehicle and click on view.
  • Select motor vehicle services and then choose reflective plate.
  • Choose your plate type and the collection office counter.
  • Attach the needed documents in one PDF format.
  • Scroll down, check the declaration box, and click Preview.
  • Submit to pay for the reflective plate and click complete.
  • You’ll receive a collection notification through SMS.

A pair of reflective number plates cost Ksh. 3,050

NTSA says that it takes 7 working days to get the new number plate after applying. However, sometimes it might take up to a month

To know whether your plate is ready for collection, you will receive a SMS notification. Alternatively, login to the eCitizen portal to track the status of processing.
