How to reverse money sent from Equity Bank to Mpesa wrong number

It can happen that at one point you have sent money from your Equity Bank account to a wrong mpesa phone number. These mistakes normally happen when using Equity App or Equitel Line.

How to reverse Equity to Mpesa transaction

To reverse money sent from Equity to Mpesa, immediately contact Equity Bank customer support at 0763026000 or through Equity Bank Facebook Message or Twitter DM.

You will be required to provide your account number, ID number, and phone number that the money was mistakenly sent to.

Once Equity Customer Care has confirmed that the money has not been withdrawn, a reversal will be made. It takes 24 to 48 hours for the money to reflect in your Equity Bank account.

Whether it is money sent from Equity to Mpesa or Mpesa to Equity Paybill, it is not advisable to call Safaricom because they will still refer you to Equity Bank.

Make sure that you have also confirmed that the money has not been withdrawn. Equity Bank may not be in a position to help if the money has already been withdrawn.
