TSC schools inspections: What they will be checking from Teachers

Teachers Service Commission (TSC) officials will begin  countrywide inspection of schools on 23rd Tuesday May 2017.   TSC has not released official schedule/dates on which schools that they will be visiting and at what time as this will be an impromptu inspection.

Inspection of schools by TSC  is carried out in an yearly basis and it does not necessarily take place in all schools. The inspections have a positive and negative end results. They may lead to promotions or demotions.

Below is what they are looking for according to a source close to TSC;

1. Your Scheme of work
2. Your Lesson Plan
3. Summary of Teachers attendance weekly
4. OI Professional documents
5. Fully Signed filled appraisal contracting forms
6. Weekly summary of teacher presence/absenteeism and lesson attendance as per TSC Teacher Lesson Attendance Register

The inspection  by TSC commissioners is important as the principals /head teachers will share with  the inspectors the challenges facing their  teachers.
