TSC August 2019 5,000 Teaching Job Vacancies
The teachers services commission has announced 5000 teaching vacancies for public primary and secondary schools teachers.
There will be 4,000 new teachers who will be recruited for secondary school while 1000 will be recruited for primary school.
Of the 4,000 posts for secondary schools, 1000 job opportunities will be reserved for practicing teachers in primary schools who want to apply to start teaching in secondary schools .
Deadline of application for all positions is August 30th 2019.
Secondary Schools teacher recruitment for new applicants
This post is for new applicants. The requirements are;
- Must be a Kenyan citizen
- You must be below 45 years
- You must be registered by TSC
- Secondary school post applicants must hold a minimum of diploma in Education Certificate
Application procedure: Applications should be through the Secretary, Board of management of the school. A copy of the application should also be submitted to the TSC County Director.
Secondary Schools recruitment for serving primary teachers
There are 1000 vacancies for this position. Only primary school teachers who want to transition to secondary school should apply. The requirements are;
- Applicant must a Kenyan citizen
- Must have a P1 certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education with two teaching subjects
- KCSE C+ mean grade and C+ in the two teaching subjects
How to apply: Application should be done online through teachersonline.tsc.go.ke and submitted to the secretary Teachers Service Omission.

There are 1,000 vacancies for this post. The requirements are;
- Kenyan Citizen
- Registered with TSC
- Below 45 years
- Hold a P1 Certificate
Application method: Applications should be submitted to the TSC county Director with relevant academic certificates.
