About NASA and western province

Western Province is perceived to be a stronghold of the NASA coalition that is according to the 2013 presidential elections where Raila Odinga received 90% of the votes.  Most members of parliament in Kakamega county  were elected on an ODM party ticket.

About Raila Odinga presidential Bid

Raila Odinga has vied for president three times and  2017  will be his fourth try. In 2007 he won the elections but it was rigged in favor of Mwai Kibaki. In 2013, the supreme declared that he lost to president Uhuru Kenyatta who will also be his main competitor.

About NASA coalition

NASA brings together five main poligtical parties Raila Odinga’s (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka’s (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi’s (ANC), Moses Wetangula’s (Ford Kenya) and Isaac Ruto’s (CCM) .
