Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party nominations are going down in Busia County and the two great contestants to look are the Incumbent governor Sospeter Ojaamong and Mp Paul Otuoma. All are contesting to be governors under the ODM ticket in the 8th August 2017 elections.

He was later appointed to serve as the assistant minister of Labor in the grand coalition government. In the 4 March 2013 elections, He was elected as the first Governor of Busia County.
Will Paul Otuoma emerge the winner?
Profile of Paul Otuoma: He was first elected as member of parliament (mp) for Funyula Constituency in 2017. Thereafter, he was appointed to serve as the minister for the Local Government from 2010-2013 in the grand coalition government.
Who is the man to Beat in Busia?
The incumbent governor Sospeter Ojaamong stands a good chance of emerging the winner as Otuoma is considered a Jubilee project which is likely to affect his chances of emerging victorious. We will however update once ODM announces the final results of the winners.
