Since the beginning of the double intake, Moi University students have had incredible difficulty in being allocated rooms within the university. This has pushed many to opt for private  and expensive hostels out of school.

But it is now emerging that cartels have taken over the online booking system. It is a post that appeared in one of the face book groups that has unearthed the truth. A statement posted by one of the student leaders (Editor-In-chief) of Moi University student organization (MUso) that has clearly revealed the rot in the accommodation department.

The statement posted by the student leader appeared  to  indicate that despite the university stating that it does not  guarantee accommodation, there are  rooms which are preserved  for sell to the highest bidders;

acomodation crisisWe spoke to some of the students and this is what they had to say about the same;

“They lie to us that all rooms have been booked up already but it is interesting to hear these directors offering rooms at a price”

“They have been conspiring with the Online booking system guys to hide rooms and then sell”

“This is the business they do in the name of leaders as comrades suffer”

The student leader currently in question over the accommodation scandal  and who is believed to be working with a network of cartels is Socrates.
