Kabarak University student arrested and expelled for questioning about fee increase

Three students of Kabarak University were yesterday  expelled from campus for attempting to raise a question about fee increase. Benson Kaaya, Victor Kinuthia and Kichwen Kipkemboi  spent  a night at Menengai Police.

Kabarak University  had announced a fee increment of Ksh 25,0000 without student consultation which prompted them to demand for an answer for increase.

After diplomacy failed, the students went ahead  to assemble at the administration block whole day demanding for for their voices to be heard.  This called for the arrival of armed police who dispersed them..

The students have claimed that Kabarak University DVC Finance, Mr Kiplagat has become a dictator who is not ready to tolerate any divergent views from stakeholders.
