Once known as the top Entertainment website in Kenya, Ghafla news is now dying a natural death the way Robert Alai’s Techmtaa died. Radio Africa seems to have a launched a fierce war against Ghafla after it refused to submit to its demands.
The launch of Tuko (not affiliated to Radio africa) and Mpasho which sources indicate is affiliated to Radio Africa that Caroline Mutoko heads has seen Ghafla.co.ke loose some of its best top rated writers. The last being Ghafla writer Edward Chweya who left for Tuko.
The rise of standard Media’s Entertainment website SDE and the relaunch of Citizen’s entertainment page has also left Ghafla competing with firms that have massively invested in the entertainment segment.
