After the demonstration that led to the closure of Egerton university-Njoro, the administration has now officially announced opening dates. According to a notice issued by the university administration, some groups of students who were in Njoro campus during the demonstration will now be forced to pay ksh. 5122 failure to which they will have to defer. Below are reporting for each group in Egerton University
Egerton University Njoro Campus reporting dates
- 1st and 2nd years- 8th January 2015
- 4th years-9th January 2015
- All other Groups-10th January 2015
All other campus (Nakuru, Nairobi e.t.c) will open on 9th January 2015
Students who were in Njoro campus during the first semester will be required to pay a fine of ksh. 5,122 upon reporting. The fine is an exemption of International students, physically challenged students and non-residential students.
According to the administration, all those who will not have cleared the outstanding balance by 5th January are advised to defer. ONLY fully registered students (“zero-fee balance”) and having paid the surcharge for damages will be issued with examination cards and allowed to sit for end of semester examinations.
