The Council for Legal Education has officially announced the dates for 2020 Advocates Training Program (ATP) Examination.

In a public notice on one of the local newspapers, the Council indicated that the registration of the July 2020 ATP Examination will commence on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at 9:00 a.m.

In order to register for the examinations, candidates will be required to complete the registration form CLE-EX01 (for first sitting) or CLE-EX02 for resits.

Registration forms

Candidates can access the registration forms by downloading them from the Council’s official website (www.cle.or.ke). Instructions on how to fill the forms and documents to be attached are also available on the website.

The council further stressed that the duly filled forms must be submitted to the Council of Legal Education offices, Karen Park, Baobab Block, Ground Floor on or before Thursday, April 30, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.

On payments, the council clearly indicated that all fees and charges are to be paid to the Council of Legal Education, National Bank of Kenya, Hill Branch, Account Number – 01023033161101.

A valid deposit slip will be accepted as the only evidence of payment and must be attached to the registration documents. The requisite fees are as indicated in the Students Guide on the Bar Examination which can be viewed or downloaded from the Council’s website,” read part of the notice.

The Council encouraged candidates to register within the specified period and submit complete forms as any attempt to do the opposite will lead to disqualification.

The list of registered candidates will be published on the Council’s website one month after the closure of registration.
