Meaning of summative assessment in CBC.

Summative assessment refers to the exam that is done at the end of grades 6, grade 9, and 12.
For grade 6, summative assessment performances account for 40% of the final score in upper primary. Performance from this assessment will be used to place students in junior secondary school.

This will also happen at the end of grades 9 and 12.
