Equity Bank has today announced a 50% mobile loan waiver for customers who have taken mobile loans between March 1, 2020, and July 31, 2022, and have fallen overdue on their payments. The offer provides an opportunity for eligible customers to have 50% of their loan balance waived.
To take advantage of this offer, customers are required to pay 50% of their outstanding loan balance. Once this payment has been made, Equity Bank will clear the remaining balance, and the customer’s name will be cleared on the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
It’s important to note that this offer is only valid until May 31, 2023. Therefore, customers who meet the eligibility criteria and wish to benefit from the 50% loan waiver must act before this date to avail themselves of the opportunity.
The offer is specifically targeted at customers who have taken mobile loans during the specified period and have fallen behind on their payments. The move is aimed at providing customers who have defaulted with a favorable opportunity to resolve their outstanding debts and improve their financial standing.
