Over 1 million form one students who did their KCPE examination in 2021 are expected to start reporting to their respective secondary schools today.

Form one School feess  

Ministry of education through CS George Magoha indicated that the ministry of education has decreased school fees for this term since it is short. Fees for National schools was reduced by Ksh, 8,500 while that of Extra County and county schools was reduced by Ksh. 5,500. 

Primary and day secondary school education is free. 

School Sponsorships and Scholarships 

Students have also been receiving scholarships and donations from various well-wishers, government, and private companies. 

Equity Bank through Wings to Fly Scholarship and the Government of Kenya through Elimu Scholarship issued scholarships to a total of 10,705 students across all 47 counties. 

The County government of Muranga through the Nyota Zetu programme issued scholarships valued at Sh 100 million to 1000 needy students awaiting to join Form One in the county 

Jomvu Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Badi Twalib issued bursary valued Kshs. 8,300,000 to over 1200 students joining form one. 

 Bungoma County Government through Wycliffe Wangamati issued 2000 scholarships to students joining form one.  

Other well-wishers and influencers like Robert Alai and Wahome Thuku have also been raising fees through their social media profiles to support needy students joining form one.
