On Friday the 25th of September PAWA254 will host the premier of the folklore musicial ‘OL’NGESHERR, Salvation waits at home’ written and directed by Teto Ole Tutuma from 7pm on the PAWA254 Rooftop.


Ol’ngesherr is a Maasai cultural rite of passage which signifies a coming into senior elder hood for a Maasai age-set. Teto Ole Tutuma, a promising contemporary Maasai performing artiste and Scriptwriter brings on stage his music and folktales from his soon to be released audio book ‘ INKATIN ORMAASAE VOL 1’.


This artistic project is a coming together of three Kenyan artistes from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds: the Eastlands of Nairobi, and Kaputie plains of Kajiado East Constituency.


The main objective of this production is to explore common values as captured in the essence of Maasai wisdom and their traditional folk-lore. Among other things, the production hopes to create attention to the importance of appreciating any traditional Culture while emphasizing the need to preserve the same.
