Family and friends of the late University Of Nairobi’s lecturer, Prof Gilbert Ogutu Achieng will have to be patient for at least three weeks to know the cause of his unexpected death. This is according to Western Region Government Pathologist Dr. Dickson Mchama.
Speaking on Monday at Bondo Sub-County Hospital after conducting a post-mortem on the body of the lecturer, Dr. Mchama said samples of body tissues had been taken for further analysis.
The lecturer was found dead on Sunday at his Yimbo home in Siaya County. The pathologist said he is working with the police who are investigating the death of Prof Gilbert to get some important information before releasing the post-morterm results to the family after three weeks.
Family members of the late who turned up to witness the autopsy on Monday evening engaged on a fracas before the post-mortem was done.
