Government to introduce Kenya School of education

Government has indicated that it is working on introducing the Kenya school of education in an effort to address some of the issues linked to education and training for a competent and professional education profession.

The proposals  of the establishment of the school were suggested by the Kenya Secondary School Heads Association (KSSHA). KSSHA National V/Chair Mr. Indimuli Kahi Alfred indicated that the Kenya school of education will be a public post-University training institution for professional education development.
The Kenya School of education’s mandate will include programmes like
•    Continuing Professional Education Development
•    Support Services Training
•    Specialized Professional Education
•    Projects, Consultancies and Research

 

Speaking on Citizen TV  interview, National Assembly Education Committee chairperson, Sabina Chege said that the president has been presented with the proposal and the system is expected to be realized latest this year.
