Laikipia University indefinitely closed  after students demo over death of their colleague

Laikipia University has been indefinitely closed after students took to the streets protesting the death of their colleague Peter Maina Mwaura. Peter  a third year  student is alleged to have died at the university dispensary after jumping from a speeding university bus.

The students went to the streets demonstrating to  demand for the administration to own up that their negligence contributed to the death of Peter and offer necessary Compensation. The students also wanted the administration to address why Peter was put in the university dispensary that was not well equipped to handled the condition of Peter Maina.
