HELB apologizes for sending wrong message to continuing students

On the 26th October,  HELB sent text messages to a number of continuing students and graduates  instructing them to start paying their loans before the end of October 2015 or face a fine. The higher education loans board through social  issued an apology  which read;

We wish to acknowledge the SMS communication released on 26th October 2015 with regards to loan repayment. We regret that the SMS may have reached those who are yet to complete their studies. We confirm that loan repayment commences one year upon completion of your studies. In case of any further queries, please free to get in touch with us
