Vice Chancellor flee for safety after students and area Senator Isaac Melly stormed her office over mismanagement complains

12^th Thursday February 2015, was not a normal day for the vice chancellor of University Of Eldoret Prof. Teresa Akenga after students led by Uasin Gishu Senator Isaac Melly protested to her office demanding her resignation. The senator Isaac Melly, the community and students were accusing the vice chancellor of mismanagement of funds and discrimination in employment.

Prof. Teresa Akenga is said to have fled earlier after he was alerted of the planned demonstrating. The door leading to the university was broken by demonstrating students and the VC’s locked with a chain by the senator.

Studies in University of Eldoret are currently paralyzed.
