10 Universities in Kenya battling for Ksh. 17 billion laptop project tender
Laptop project tender has been opened and 10 Kenyan Universities are up for a battle to win the ksh 17 billion.
The Jubilee government in its 2013 campaign pledges promised to give standard one pupils laptops but the promise is yet to fulfilled due court disputes facing the tendering project.
The listing of universities that will participate in the laptop project tendering process brings hope to the pupils.The laptops will be able to reach only 400,000 primary pupils out of the total number of over 8 millions primary pupils in Kenya and 1.37 million pupils in standard oneas at 2014.
