The Media Council of Kenya (MCK) has opened applications for industrial attachment opportunities in journalism, communication, digital media, and public relations courses for the financial year 2023/2024.

The attachment program will start in August and last for three months. Selected applicants will receive a monthly stipend of Kh. 15,000.

Attachment Application Requirements

To be eligible for the MCK attachment program, applicants must meet the following requirements.

• You must be a final-year student pursuing a degree or diploma course in journalism, media studies, communication, digital media, or public relations.
• You must present a recommendation letter from your university or college
• You must provide your academic transcripts for the current year of study.
• You must have an  MCK student press card

Successful applicants will be placed in various media houses across Kenya.

How to apply for MCK attachment

To apply for the MCK attachment vacancies, applicants should visit the application portal at mediacouncil.or.ke/opportunities/careers. On the page, click on the “Internship” section and then proceed to the “Industrial Placement Programme” link. Fill out and submit the application form.

You will be required to upload a photo or scanned copy of your Student Card, MCK Student Press Card, National ID Card, and the recommendation letter from your university.
