The figures above show the total number of students who selected to join the indicated school as 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th choice combined. All the top 15 most selected high schools are National schools.
Although it is among the top 5 National schools in Kenya in terms of performance, Starehe Boys has fallen to position 14 in selection rankings because most students probably believe that even if they selected Starehe Boys, chances of joining it are minimal.
