Ezoic has today announced that it will discontinue its affiliate program. In an email sent to affiliate marketers on July 14, 2023, Ezoic says that the affiliate program platform will be shut down on August 14, 2023.
According to Ezoic, affiliate commissions and payouts for amounts earned prior to the discontinuation of the program will be paid out in accordance with the terms outlined in their affiliate agreement. However, only users who have reached the payment threshold of $20 will be eligible for payment. This means that if an affiliate marketer had a pending affiliate earning of less than $20, they will not receive their payment as it falls below the payment threshold.
Ezoic’s affiliate program gained popularity among affiliate marketers because of its lifetime commission structure. This meant that once an affiliate marketer referred a publisher to Ezoic, they would continue earning 3% of the ad earnings generated by that publisher indefinitely. This provided an attractive opportunity for affiliate marketers to receive recurring payments.
Ezoic appears to be going through financial challenges caused by the decline in ad revenue. Many publishers are also abandoning emerging advertising companies like Ezoic in favor of Google Adsense because of its high CPM rates.
