CBC Grade 4 Textbooks Approved by KICD (Learning Materials)

Below is a list of CBC Grade 4 Textbooks and learning materials approved by KICD in conjunction with the Ministry of education from various Kenyan publishers.

The textbooks and learning materials listed below are for students. Copies of teacher’s guide of the same books are also available in various bookshops.

About Grade 4

Grade 4 is one of the levels of learning of the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) in the new 2-6-3-3 system of education in Kenya. It was what was called class four or standard four in the old 8-4-4 system of education.  You can learn more about subjects taught in grade 4.

NOTE: 2-6-3-3 system of education is gradually being rolled out in Kenya.

The above Grade four textbooks for students were released by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) for primary schools use in Kenya.  Books supplied by government to public primary schools will be labeled “Note for sale”

Important! Parents and Schools should not use Grade 4 textbooks and learning materials  that have not been approved by KICD.
