TSC: Best secondary school teachers in Kenya awards, 2017

Below are the best performing secondary schools teachers in 2017 as announced by TSC in a teachers conference in Mombasa.

 

 

 

Best three teachers

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will promote three best teachers recognized for
their stunning contribution to the education sector. They are;

 

1. Sister Anastacia Amollo of St Mary’s Lwak Girls Secondary School
2. Mrs. Phillis Kamau of Mahiga Girls Secondary School
3. Mr. Paul Kamau of Loreto Girls Secondary School Limuru.

 

The three won the Principal of the Year Award (Poya), Teacher of the Year (Toya) and ICT Teacher of the Year (i-Toya) respectively during the principals’ conference held in Mombasa recently.

TSC Chief Executive Of ficer Nancy Macharia said:“The winners and all the other contestants are heroes and heroines.“I direct that they get promotion to the next grade immediately and the promotion should be reflected in the new collective bargaining agreement that becomes effective from July 1,”

The principal was awarded Sh100, 000 and Ms Kamau Sh70, 000. The three attributed their
success to commitment and sacrifice.
