UON, KU, JKUAT and Egerton among the top according to 2015 webometrics University rankings

2015 world webometrics university rankings have been released and this year Kenyan Universities seems to have performed better compared to 2014. The Webometrics World Universities rankings are based on university web indicators, social networks visualization, scholar activity, analysis of information usage among others (more information about Webometric University ranking available http://www.webometrics.info/

University of Nairobi published a press release through its website celebrating their 2015 performance. Part of the press release read, “The University of Nairobi’s performance is the best result posted by any local university since the advent of web ranking in 2004.” In 2015, University of Nairobi was ranked no 7 in Africa an improvement from 9 in 2014.
